The Deputy Director of Operations (DDO) is a member of the senior management team (SMT). She/he is responsible for leading and managing the operations teams in the Country Program ensuring they are fit-for-purpose and respond to the needs of IRC’s programs. The DDO is expected to contribute to high levels of teamwork and inter-departmental and cross-sectoral collaboration. Through her/his leadership, operations teams will be supportive of program delivery, results driven and guided by data analysis, problem identification and problem solving.
The DDO reports to the Country Director and supervises the Supply Chain Coordinator, Human Resources Manager, the Information Technology Officer and the Security Liaison Officer. She/He is the head of the Maroua office. The DDO serves as a focal point with HQ operations staff, Regional Human Resources Director, Regional Supply Chain Director, Regional IT Director and Regional Safety and Security Advisor.
The position is based in Maroua with frequent travel to all IRC field locations.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Security in the Far North of Cameroon, Maroua & Kousseri is level III (orange) and the IRC has a curfew in place. Lodging is in a shared IRC guesthouse.
The IRC and IRC workers must adhere to the values and principles outlined in IRC Way – Standards for Professional Conduct. These are Integrity, Service, and Accountability. In accordance with these values, the IRC operates and enforces policies on Beneficiary Protection from Exploitation and Abuse, Child Safeguarding, Anti Workplace Harassment, Fiscal Integrity, and Anti-Retaliation.
