HI, Humanity & Inclusion is an independent and impartial aid and development organisation with no religious or political affiliations operating in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. We work alongside people with disabilities and vulnerable people to help meet their essential needs, improve their living conditions and promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights.
Since the organisation was first founded in 1982, we have set up development programmes in more than 55 countries and responded to many emergencies. Today we have a budget of around 150 million euros, with 3500 employees worldwide.

EMERGENCY CONTEXT AND NEEDS
The Government of Mozambique issued a Red Alert on 13th March 2019 calling for urgent emergency humanitarian assistance to address the multifaceted impacts of the floods. The United Nations and humanitarian partners in Mozambique have appealed for US$40.8 million to provide critical emergency relief to the vulnerable populations who have been affected by Tropical Cyclone IDAI; this excludes funding requirements for infrastructural rehabilitation. It is therefore essential to provide immediate assistance to persons affected by the disaster while simultaneously engaging the target communities for future resilience.
HI strategy of intervention consists in multisector response with emergency livelihood, ATLAS logistics platform as well as emergency protection services (awareness sessions and PSS support).
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the responsability of the Field Coordinator in Beira, the Emergency Administration Manager is responsible for:
- General administration
- Finance: supervise and control all Financial operations and their good execution by the staff, this includes:
2.1. Cash Flow management
2.2. Budget management
2.3. Accounting - Human Resources (local staff, expatriâtes, incentive workers)
- Team Management
- Reporting

REQUIRED PROFILE
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Professional degree in Administration or Finance
EXPERIENCE:
o At least 3 years of experience as Admin Manager in a professional organization (private, public and/or non-for-profit sector);
o At least 2 years of experience in the humanitarian sector overseas;
o Experience in emergency context and in opening a base is an asset
o Previous experience with Handicap International would be an asset;
COMPETENCIES:
o English mandatory (oral and written)
o Portuguese is a strong asset
o Strong utilization of Excel
o Knowledge of the software Navision would be an asset;
PERSONAL QUALITIES:
o Strong organizational skills
o Autonomous, reactive and able to deal with priorities
o Extremely rigorous and precise, attention to details
o Diplomat, able to work collaboratively in a team
o Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
o Practical and problems solve
o Ability to deal with complexity at different level
CONDITIONS
• Starting date: ASAP
• Length of the contract: 6 months (with possible extension)
• Salary from 2214 € (gross) / month regarding the experience of the candidate
• Per-diem: 500.60€/ month net
• Hardship allowance: 250€/ month net
• Insurances: medical health coverage, retirement planning, repatriation
• Paid holiday: 25 days per year
• R&R: 1 day / month
