Pit Vidura is a fast-growing venture that provides the only safe, hygienic, and affordable last-mile sanitation services for low-income urban households in Kigali, Rwanda. We recently launched a partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to develop a sales pipeline that combines SMS marketing with in-person follow-ups to “hot leads” by community-based sales agents.
We are looking for a self-driven and strategic problem-solver to build our SMS marketing platform from the ground up. Our ideal candidate is a data driven and tech-savvy individual with a background in marketing and/or behavior change.
Responsibilities:
o Leading the overall strategy and apply best practices for segmentation and email. This includes targeting, frequency, order, and timing on all inbound and outbound email communications.
o Developing, launching, and analyzing targeted SMS campaigns in Mogli SMS and Salesforce
o Conducting beta tests on the best types of messages and sequences of messages to drive uptake of different types of marketing campaigns
o Develop and implement segmentation logic that send the right communication at the right time based on customer behavior, actions, and journey stage
o Collaborating with Marketing Operations team to improve data quality, reporting, and segmentation
o Working with field marketing team to drive improvements in lead collection strategy that lead to increased conversion rates Liaise with marketing team to set-up, test and deploy “hot lead” follow ups
o Presenting data driven recommendations to team members and management based on research findings, trends and knowledge of the data available.
o Analyzing campaign performance against established benchmarks, summarizing key insights, and recommending actions to improve performance of sales initiatives
o Recommend and implement messaging and other marketing strategies to the marketing team
Requirements:
o Bachelor’s degree in related field (data science, marketing analytics, public health, statistics, or process engineering)
o 4 years of related experience
o Direct experience with Salesforce is required
o Excellent time management, problem-solving and organizational skills.
Preferred:
o Master Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Systems Engineering, Business Analytics, or Statistics with 3+ years of relevant field experience in monitoring and evaluation, data mining, data visualization, market research, economics.
o Experience working with social enterprises on ambiguously defined problem sets.
o Experience working with data visualization tools and creating data visualization concepts. (Excel, Tableau, R or similar).
o Experience of statistical analysis and tools such as SAS, R, or equivalent.
