CARE is looking for talented Humanitarian Program Director reporting to the Assistant Country Director (ACD) – Programs and is responsible for providing oversight and leadership to humanitarian program operation ensuring program quality and accountability. The post holder will line manage and closely work with the Emergency Team Leader(s) (ETL) and Sector Leads to direct the implementation of the CARE Mozambique Humanitarian program portfolio, ensuring that CARE’s interventions are timely, effective and relevant to the needs of the affected populations The incumbent will ensure that a gender focus is incorporated in all aspects of programming. The postholder will ensure that a M&E framework is established, which must include appropriate outcome measurement. The incumbent will oversee resource management and fundraising in coordination with the ACD-P. S/he will be providing training, mentoring and capacity building specially for CARE Mozambique national positions and potentially for partner agencies as well. Particular attention will be given to the financial and administrative responsibilities of program staff so as to ensure efficiency and compliance. S/he will manage day-to-day communication with field implementation teams and provide general guidance on field activities implemented by program staff and/or partners.
