You are an innovative thinker and manager! You are not afraid of big challenges. You bring disruptive thinking to development cooperation and research. And you want to use your knowledge and expertise to solve global problems.
The World Vegetable Center needs your expertise to turn research results into scalable products. The mission of this international institute is research on vegetables. Founded in 1971, it is one of 17 non-profit, globally active agricultural research centers funded by the German Federal Government and an international donor community. It also cooperates with the Global Agricultural Research Partnership (CGIAR). CGIAR has set itself the ambitious goal of using its research to make a quantifiable contribution to reducing poverty and fighting famine. One goal, for example, is for 100 million households in development cooperation countries to use innovative products developed through agricultural research by 2022. To achieve these goals, German development cooperation has established a Task Force on Scaling, to which you will belong.
Two further centres are looking for an integrated expert that will perform the same tasks for their global research programmes (CGIAR Research Programs, CRPs): International Potato Center, (CIP)/Kenya, HarvestPlus/Kenya.
