About the Programme
The Government of Liberia has received the assistance of the World Bank and other donors for the Implementation of the OPRC Project on one of the main road corridors within the Country. IMC Worldwide is required to fill a vacancy for the Monitoring Supervision of the OPRC-Asset Management project – Monitoring/Supervision of Output Performance Base Road Contracts (OPRC), Road Asset Management of Lot 1 & 2 –Red Light – Gbarnga – Guinea Border Road and Urban Section Coca Cola Factory to Red Light.
The project road includes main transport corridor from the capital towards the northeast of the country since it is the major highway. Lot 1 contract contains road section from Red Light – Gate 15 – Gbarnga (180.36Km, plus a further 6.1 Km from Coca Cola to ELWA junction) and Lot 2 includes road section from Gbarnga – Ganta – Guinea Border Road (69km).
The primary objective of this project is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the management and maintenance of its road network. This will be achieved by the introduction and operation of the Output and Performance based Road Contracting (OPRC) methodology for the Road Asset Management, which is a relatively new concept adopted in order to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of road operations within a life span cycle. This World Bank funded project started in Feb 2014 and completion is in March 2024.
About the Role
We are seeking to identify a highly experienced and qualified Deputy Team Leader/Highway Engineer (DTL/HE) for Lot 2 to fill our current vacancy, who will lead and deliver this large, OPRC based contract on a full time basis. The DTL/HE will be responsible for the overall management of the roads including rehabilitation, routine and periodic maintenance works.
