Le contexte :
Le Tchad continue de connaître d’importants mouvements migratoires à travers le nord du Tchad. Depuis le hub de Faya, l’OIM Tchad gère un certain nombre de projets, notamment des programmes d’aide au retour volontaire, la consolidation de la paix, la stabilisation communautaire et l’aide humanitaire. Alors que chaque projet a un chef de projet dédié basé à Ndjamena.
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the Emergency and Stabilization Coordinator the successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of the activities implemented by the different teams within the area of responsibility of Faya and the administration of the sub-office.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
Qualifications et expérience requises :
• Maîtrise en relations internationales, droits de l’homme, études sur la paix et les conflits, sciences sociales, génie agricole ou dans un domaine connexe d’une institution universitaire accréditée ; ou
• Diplôme universitaire dans les domaines ci-dessus avec deux ans d’expérience professionnelle pertinente.
• Expérience significative dans le reporting avec les exigences des bailleurs de fonds ;
• Significant experience with rural development, ideally in the field of productive asset management;
• Experience in challenging hard-ship posts;
• Experience in mentoring and staff development;
• Significant experience in application of IOM rules and procedures, especially concerning administration and procurement;
• Experience with project development and donor liaison.
Skills
IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish.
External applicants for all positions in the Professional category are required to be proficient in English and have at least a working knowledge of one additional UN Language (French, Spanish, Arabic, Russian or Chinese).
For all applicants, fluency in English and French is required (oral and written). Working knowledge of Arabic and/or Spanish is an advantage.

This selection process may be used to staff similar positions in various duty stations. Recommended candidates will remain eligible to be appointed in a similar position for a period of 24 months.

Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, accreditation, any residency or visa requirements, and security clearances. Subject to certain exemptions, vaccination against COVID-19 will in principle be required for individuals hired on or after 15 November 2021. This will be verified as part of the medical clearance process.
