About the role:
Team Leader- NUCAP (Open to national and international applicants)
Save the Children is seeking a Team Leader for the anticipated 4-year FCDO Northern Uganda Climate Action Project (NUCAP). S/he will take overall responsibility of the overall consortium’s deliverables in the project. The position holder will provide overall leadership and technical direction for the project, ensuring achievement of project deliverables. The project aims to strengthen capacity to contribute to the conservation and restoration of landscapes through the development of green, sustainable livelihoods, supported by well-functioning and incentivised value chains, whilst being inclusive of the private sector. This will be achieved through enhanced bio-diversity and conservation of native tree species, enhanced adaptive capacity and resilience to climate change for communities and landscape and lastly through diversifying green livelihoods and private sector investments.
The Team Leader will be responsible for overall leadership of the FCDO funded NUCAP including oversight of all the consortium members which include ECOTRUST & ICRAF. S/he will be charged with building strategic relationships and spearheading external engagement with relevant stakeholders. As the project lead, s/he will have to ensure compliance with FCDO requirements as well as quality assurance and risk management across the project.
The leader will work closely and liaise with the other consortium partners and other project staff, spur integration and benefit from project synergies within the locations; whilst ensuring that project implementation is well aligned to approved design, SCI program quality benchmarks and contributes to SCI’s overall country and global outcomes and breakthrough for children.
