The role
Save the Children is increasingly committed to advancing its approach to localization & locally-led development with priorities to increase funding and capacity sharing of local partners. While localization began as a humanitarian initiative, it overlaps with concepts of local ownership and locally-led development and is now being embraced across the spectrum of Save’s programmatic and strategic efforts. The Localization and Partnership Specialist will engage in dialogue with national and international partners with the aim to support the development and operationalization of their capacity development strategy. The Specialist will further facilitate networking and exchange between partners across the thematic areas and countries. He/ She will follow the discourse on localization and provide relevant analysis and inputs as required to support the localization focus. The Specialist will also provide coaching or facilitate trainings for partners as required.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
