The Programme Associate will support GGGI Burkina Faso country office in supporting a range of project management related activities including project financial and budget management, procurements, human resources and financial reporting to support the delivery of the Country Program. In particular he/she will provide financial and administrative support for the delivery of the project ‘Strengthening Resilience in the Kaya-Dori axis in Burkina Faso.
He/she will also be responsible for supporting effective transversal country office management activities including facilities and operational asset management, travel arrangements, events management, and supporting program staff in onboarding.
He/she may also contribute to supporting reporting of results under GGGI’s biannual/annual program plans and maintain effective program reporting in line with GGGI’s corporate policies, standards, and protocols. The position holder will be based in Ouagadougou and will report to the GGGI Country Representative, while working closely with experts related to project outcomes.
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Assist in project financial statements and project budgets, monitoring expenditures against established allocations on a monthly basis
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Coordinate procedural aspects related to financial contracts, partnership agreements, Memorandum of Understandings, and official approval memos.
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Develop and monitor detailed budget execution plans and schedules in line with yearly work programs and budget lines and as required.
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Compile annual and bi-annual financial reports to the donor and provide information on project financial expenditures when requested by the donor

–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Manage procedural and technical aspects of GGGI’s Enterprise Management System (ERP) and project management system GGGI Online (GO) and ensure process integrity.
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Assess operational and process performance of implementing partners and service providers. Advises clients and collaborators regarding most effective means to engage for provision of services.
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Identify issues of consistency in project accounts and recommend remedial approaches to sustain and advance quality.
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Advise the Country Representative and relevant program staff on improving procedures, polices and tools of operational transactions where necessary by liaising with relevant HQ Units
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Ensure products are delivered in line with established agreements and in line with expectations of the financing partners
–         Collaborate with other country teams, units, and divisions of GGGI on identified joint activity opportunities to ensure integrated delivery as ‘One GGGI’
–Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Monitor and report workstream budget expenditures in activities to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in line with work plans to support program management.

–         Minimum 3 years of professional work experience in at least 3 of the following areas: accounting, project management, financial management, Monitoring and Evaluation, procurement, database management, knowledge management.

The Programme Associate, Burkina Faso Country Program is an X6 grade level in GGGI’s national salary scale. For X6 national grade, the base salary starts from USD 26,414. Determination of base salary is subject to candidate’s experience, academic background and internal equity. GGGI provides 15% of base salary towards retirement plan/long-term savings, applicable expatriate benefits, 27 days of annual leave, and private health insurance that covers dental and vision.

GGGI will partner with Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) on a humanitarian-development nexus project Building resilience in the Kaya-Dori axis in Burkina Faso. The project’s objective is to improve the living conditions and livelihoods of vulnerable communities in areas hosting large numbers of IDPs by providing sustainable green income sources and by rehabilitation of local productive assets via innovative and resilient agriculture.
