CARE seeks a Chief of Party (COP) for the anticipated USAID-funded Ending Violence against Women and Girls Activity. This project aims to address and eliminate gender-based violence/violence against women and girls, including female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C), child, early and forced marriage (CEFM), and seasonal marriage as forms of trafficking in persons.
The Activity will: (1) support positive behavioral change to end VAW/G; and (2) expand access to quality integrated VAW/G support services and responsive interventions, such as medical, legal, psychosocial, and economic empowerment services. The Activity will respond to the U.S. and Egyptian Governments’ shared policy priorities focused on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The COP stewards the overall vision of the project and assumes responsibility for delivering project results. The successful candidate will have significant experience managing program, financial, and operations of USAID or other international donor-funded projects. The COP leads and manages the project through a combination of technical leadership, supportive management, and capacity strengthening with CARE partners. COP will ensure that the project’s goals, objectives, and strategy are achieved and that contractual requirements are met on time and within budget.
This activity is expected to be a five-year program in the $25M range.
