Position Summary:
The Program Manager (PM) position plays an important role in supporting Trickle Up’s (TU) contributions to Graduating to Resilience (the Activity) in Uganda and furthering the adoption of, and innovations to, the Graduation Approach in the region. This Uganda-based position will serve as a strategic representation of Trickle Up in country with the AVSI team and other partners, as well as other new stakeholders and partners. The PM is responsible for the overall day-to-day management of TU’s relationship with the Activity and related program-based activities and corresponding reporting.
The Graduating to Resilience Activity is a USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA)-funded, Development Food Security Activity (DFSA) led by AVSI Foundation, in partnership with Trickle Up and American Institutes for Research (AIR). The Activity is a 7-year program implemented in Kamwenge District, Uganda, and seeks to test the Graduation Approach’s ability to graduate extremely poor refugee and host community households in South-Western Uganda from conditions of food insecurity and fragile livelihoods to self-reliance and resilience. Conducted across two Cohorts, the Activity will engage 13,200 participants over seven years, with built-in refinement periods. The first 30-month cohort of interventions ended in June 2021 and engaged 6,629 households. Beginning in February 2022, Cohort 2 is engaging 7,238 (3,505 refugees and 3,733 hosts) households over 24 months.
