COOPI is looking for a Project Manager in Somalia
COOPI has been active with its humanitarian and resilience programs in Somalia since 1984. COOPI has been implementing emergency and long-term resilience building projects including food security & livelihoods, water and sanitation and health, to improve the living conditions of thousands of vulnerable families.
COOPI has been providing response and supporting the most basic and pressing needs of communities in Southwest State, South Central, Banadir, Jubaland and Somaliland. COOPI has a long-standing presence in those locations providing both emergency humanitarian support and building resilient livelihoods through a multi-sectoral approach with specific focus on crisis affected populations. COOPI’s main operational and coordination offices are located in Mogadishu, Baidoa and Dollow. COOPI also has a support and regional office in Nairobi.
The Project Manager is the focal point of COOPI’s program in Somalia and specifically manages the AICS FSL and WASH project. Under the direct supervision of the Head of Mission, and in link with the Program Coordinator, the Project Manager will have direct responsibility on the project coordination and implementation of the AICS FSL and WASH projec. In addition, supports Head of Mission and Program Coordinator in formulaings the strategy for the Somalia mission and ensures its implementation in accordance with COOPI policies, donor expectation, local and international legislation. He/she coordinates and evaluates all aspects of the COOPI projects, and facilitates the flow of information from the field to the capital. The Project Manager also plays a strategic role for COOPI’s external relationships, liaising with donors and stakeholders in collaboration with the HoM.
