RTI’s Global Health Division is currently accepting applications for a Chief of Party for an anticipated PEPFAR/USAID-funded HIV opportunity, the Continuum of Prevention, Care and Treatment of HIV/AIDS with Most-at-risk-Populations in Cameroon II (CHAMP II) program. CHAMP II will build on achievements of the PEPFAR/USAID-funded CHAMP program which concludes in 2019. The CHAMP II program goal serves to reduce HIV/STI infections and related morbidity and mortality and ease the impact of HIV on the socioeconomic development of Cameroon. The purpose is to improve the Government of Cameroon and civil society technical capacity to implement evidence-based prevention, care and treatment services to key populations in Cameroon.
The Chief of Party (COP) is responsible for the overall performance and results of the program, including management and oversight of the program’s technical, operational, and administrative staff. S/he will provide strategic leadership and vision to the RTI-led team; provide technical and managerial direction for the successful implementation of the program in accordance with the work plan and performance management plan; and serve as RTI’s key liaison to PEPFAR/USAID, host government counterparts, local organizations, other stakeholders and program partners. S/he will be based within the CHAMP II office to be established in Yaoundé and local travel will be required.
