PATH seeks a Program Coordinator in Senegal to manage and monitor the Health strengthening related projects and all the components of a 5-year project aimed at building strong capacity in preventing antimicrobial resistance (AMR), strengthening surveillance systems/ real time surveillance, information systems and lab network in Senegal in order to achieve specific goals in three focus areas of Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) including i) preventing avoidable epidemics; ii) detecting threat early; and iii) responding rapidly and effectively.
The Program Coordinator will work closely with national, regional counterparts and international agencies working on Global Health Security Agenda to oversee and implement the day-to-day activities of the Project.
This position will be based in Dakar under supervision of the Country Director of PATH Senegal and technical guidance and support from technical experts from PATH Headquarters.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities and managing and monitoring all aspects of the implementation of the GHSA as well as other HSS related projects in Senegal. The Project Coordinator will work closely with international and national PATH staff, Collaborators of the partners (Fondation Merieux, CDC, FETP), country collaborators in the Ministry of Health (MoH) office and other local partners and will oversee the project team in Senegal.
