Peace and Security Cluster
The UNOPS Peace and Security Cluster (PSC) is a principal service provider in the field of mine action with the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS), UNDP, UNICEF, Governments of mine-affected countries and other mine action partners. It is led by the Director, who has overall authority and accountability for the performance PSC on behalf of its clients. The Director is responsible for administering and providing oversight of the day-to-day management of the Project Field offices, both according to the client requirements and in line with UNOPS rules and regulations.
Under the guidance of Programme Manager, the Support Services Manager acts as an advisor to Senior Management on all aspects of Regional Office management and operations. This includes strategic financial and human resources management, efficient procurement and logistical services, ICT, transportation and vehicle management, and security, consistent with UNOPS rules and regulations. The main role is to lead the operations, ensuring smooth functioning of the Regional Office/programmes/ projects operations, consistent services delivery and constant evaluation and readjustment of the operations to take into account changes in the operating environment as and when needed.
The Support Services Manager leads and guides the Office Operations Team and fosters collaboration within the team, with programme staff and with other UN Agencies in a client-oriented approach. The Support Services Manager works in close collaboration with programme and project teams in the Regional Office, operations staff in other UN Agencies, UNOPS HQs staff and Government officials to successfully deliver operations services.
