Protection Coordinator – Mozambique
The Protection Coordinator is responsible for the strategic development, technical supervision and quality implementation of IsraAid protection program in country through technical guidance and support, strategy development, resource and capacity development, and representation.
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Design and Implementation
Representation
Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning
· Work with Programme Manager(s) to ensure appropriate, timely and accurate data collection against agreed indicators to enable both internal and external reporting
Partnerships
· Foster a spirit of collaboration and empowerment with IsraAid local aprtners.
· Identify, reach out and create collaboration with partners such CBO and academies which is in line with the Country Office Protection vision
· Offer support to partner organizations in respective fields
· Support partners in developing coherent strategy and action plan
· Conduct periodic review of joint project plans to identify obstacles and the ways they could be addressed
Grants Management
Human Resources and Staff Development
Required experience and competencies
· Minimum 5 years progressive experience in the protection sector wit an INGO and/or with UN agency
· Relevant university degree (preferably MA) in social work, psychology, social sciences, development or in another relevant field
· Familiar of designing and managing UNICEF/UNDP/UNHCR and other major donor projects and understanding of donor compliance
· Proven experience as a trainer and in developing structured and comprehensive curricula and training manuals
· A high level of written and spoken English
