USAID Uganda Health Activity
Chemonics International Inc., a leading international development firm that has been implementing USAID programs in Uganda for more than 20 years, seeks multiple operations specialists for the anticipated five-year approximately $170 million USAID-funded Uganda Health Activity (UHA). This cooperative agreement aims to increase the survival and well-being of vulnerable populations and improve overall health system resilience in priority districts in Uganda through: (1) improved access to and use of quality maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH); family planning (FP)/reproductive health (RH); nutrition; and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) health services at community- and health facility-levels; (2) enhanced local ownership and leadership for sustainable health outcomes; and, (3) strengthened health systems at the regional-, district-, facility-, and community-levels. The specialists will be responsible for operational oversight of programmatic activities, including subcontracts and grants management, compliance, finance and accounting, human resources, operations, logistics, procurement, and information technology. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people globally.

Qualifications:
· A Bachelor’s degree in international development, operations, finance, management, and/or a related field
· Demonstrated capability in one or more of the above areas
· Demonstrated analytical ability and understanding of the cultural and local and regional health context in Uganda
· Excellent interpersonal, writing, and English language oral presentation skills
· Previous experience working on USG-funded health programming in Uganda, designing or implementing gender- or youth-sensitive health programming, and strengthening quality of care and/or QI for MNCH, FP, nutrition, or WASH preferred
· Knowledge of USAID procurement rules and regulations
