Under direct supervision of the Head of Operations/Head of Programme and the technical oversight of the Regional Humanitarian Advisor, the Protection and Accountability to Affected Population (AAP) Officer will be responsible for providing strategic orientations to the country office in the fields of Protection and AAP. This includes overseeing the implementation of Protection and AAP as well as Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) activities for WFP’s operations in Burkina Faso, as well as ensuring the management & supervision of the country office Protection and AAP existing team.
This position will also be responsible for providing operational and programmatic advice on the operational integration of the country office Protection and AAP strategy, working closely with WFP technical units including all relevant internal stakeholders such as Emergency Response, Logistics/Supply Chain, Communication, Security, etc., to mainstream Protection & AAP throughout all WFP operations in Burkina Faso.

NB: Please note that Ouagadougou is a non-family duty station, and family members of international staff will not be able to join them at the duty station. However, the Rest & Recuperation (R&R) modality has been put in place, allowing staff to benefit from 7 days off (5 days of R&R +2 days for travel) every 8 weeks of presence in the duty station.
