Background and Organizational Context
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) is part of the United Nations Secretariat responsible for bringing together humanitarian actors to ensure a coherent response to emergencies. OCHA also ensures there is a framework within which each actor can contribute to the overall response efforts. OCHA’s mission is to mobilize and coordinate effective and principled humanitarian action in partnership with national and international actors in order to alleviate human suffering in disasters and emergencies; advocate the rights of people in need; promote preparedness and prevention and facilitate sustainable solutions.
This job opening is being advertised for the position of Monitoring and Reporting Associate GS-7 located in the OCHA Maiduguri Office and reports to the Monitoring and Reporting Officer (P3).
Position PurposeÂ
Summary of Key functions:
Key Duties and Accountabilities:
1. Provide support to the implementation of the monitoring pillar of the NHF accountability framework.
2. Provide support to narrative reports review process of NHF funded projects
3. Provide Information management and data management support
4. Facilitate knowledge-building and knowledge-sharing on NHF processes within OCHA Nigeria and the NHF implementing partners.
