International Media Support supports local independent media and media advocacy groups in countries affected by conflict, political transition and authoritarian rule. Set up in 2001 and headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, the organisation has since then worked with hundreds of local and international partners to support independent journalism, freedom of expression and the safety of journalists.
Job Summary
The Senior Media Technical Lead (SMTL) will be responsible for delivering Wajibika’s work on improved media freedom, effectiveness, and sustainability (Outcome 2), as well as ensuring media considerations are embedded within programme strategy and shaping cross-cutting media work across the other two outcomes. The Technical Lead will be responsible for advising on and overseeing the design of all media and freedom of expression related activities and workstreams, managing partners and ensuring timely implementation of activities within the overall Wajibika program.
This position will be based in Tanzania and is contingent upon award.
