The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and World Agroforestry (ICRAF) envision a more equitable world where trees in all landscapes, from drylands to the humid tropics, enhance the environment and well-being for all. CIFOR and ICRAF are non-profit science institutions that build and apply evidence to today’s most pressing challenges, including energy insecurity and the climate and biodiversity crises. Over a combined total of 65 years, we have built vast knowledge on forests and trees outside of forests in agricultural landscapes (agroforestry). Using a multidisciplinary approach, we seek to improve lives and to protect and restore ecosystems. CIFOR-ICRAF is looking for a Livelihoods Technician & Facilitator-Cameroon
Communication and transparency
• Superior technical certificate in agriculture and/or livestock or professional equivalent.
• 2 years relevant experience in similar job, preferably in an international NGO.
• Knowledge of the MS Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in French with good working knowledge in English
• Expertise in participatory techniques to boost activities with indigenous peoples and local communities.
• Working experience in the promotion and improvement, facilitation and evaluation of livelihoods.
• Academic or working experience in agroforestry in valuable.
• Professional experience in working with indigenous peoples and local communities.
• Knowledge of project management tools such as the logical framework and theory of change.
• ‘A’ driving license.
• This is a Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) position. CIFOR-ICRAF offers competitive remuneration in local currency commensurate with skills and experience.
• The initial appointment will be for seven (7) months.
• Contract extension is contingent upon performance, continued relevance of the position and available resources.
• The duty station will be in Mintom arrondissement, in the South Region of Cameroon.
