Duties and Responsibilities
The interns may be responsible for the following duties, while flexibility to perform any communications functions remains of paramount important: 1. Research topics and issues, and produce draft documents on these. 2. Monitor media and prepare draft versions of media clippings or media monitoring reports. 3. Support in the management and monitoring of social media. 4. Provide clerical support, e.g. management of lists or databases. 5. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications/special skills
No working experience is required. The intern should be in their final year of a first degree, or have completed a degree (first degree or other) at any time prior to their application. One of their degrees should ideally be in communications, journalism, social sciences, international relations, economics, or a related area. Strong analytical and writing abilities in Portuguese are essential.
Languages
The interns must be fluent in Portuguese and have knowledge of English.
Additional Information
The intern may be of any nationality. The internship is UNPAID. Depending on the situation, the United Nations may facilitate visa arrangements, but will NOT be responsible for any travel.
No Fee
