The programme has been established entitled ‘Support to the Africa-led movement (ALM) to end FGM/C’ to contribute to global efforts to achieve a world free from Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C) by 2030. The program under consideration seeks to contribute to the eradication of FGM/C through a multi-dimensional approach that includes awareness, advocacy, stakeholders’ engagement and support for capacity development as well as research and learning.
In order to combat FGM/C effectively and promote its abandonment, it is crucial to conduct a comprehensive Problem & Context Analysis study. This will aid the acceleration of FGM/C abandonment in Garissa County by building critical mass to influence policymakers and the community at large.
