Mission and objectives
Since Governments have the primary responsibility to protect human rights, the High Commissioner for Human Rights and her Office (Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights – OHCHR) provide assistance to Governments so they can implement the international human rights standards they’ve committed to. This assistance includes expertise and technical trainings in the areas of administration of justice, legislative reform, and electoral processes. We also assist other entities with responsibility to protect human rights to fulfil their obligations and individuals to realize their rights. We support the establishment and strengthening of National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs), and collaborate with them to implement their mandates to promote and protect human rights. We also work closely with civil society actors to build their knowledge of human rights and promote their participation in UN decision-making processes. As the principal United Nations office mandated to promote and protect human rights for all, UN Human Rights: Works with and assists Governments in fulfilling their human rights obligations Speaks out objectively in the face of human rights violations worldwide Provides a forum for identifying, highlighting and developing responses to today’s human rights challenges Acts as the principal focal point of human rights research, education, public information, and advocacy activities Works with a wide range of partners in order to widen the constituency for human rights worldwide.
Context
La mission des Volontaires en ligne sera exécutée dans le contexte électoral de la présidentielle du 25 février 2024 afin d’appuyer le projet de paix et de cohésion sociale mis en œuvre par les agences du Système des Nations Unies (SNU) au Sénégal. Pour favoriser une élection paisible et pacifique, les jeunes aussi doivent jouer leur rôle dans la sensibilisation avec les moyens dont ils disposent. La vulgarisation des messages sur toutes les plateformes digitales permettra d’occuper l’espace médiatique digitale avec des messages de paix et de solidarité tout en s’appuyant sur d’autres relais tels que des influenceurs de renoms.
Task description
Nous recherchons 270 volontaires en ligne expérimentés et créatifs pour soutenir notre équipe de communication dans le développement et la diffusion d’une campagne de sur les médias sociaux. En étroite collaboration avec l’équipe de communication, les volontaires en ligne devront : – Discuter et définir le public cible de la campagne, les objectifs souhaités et les résultats. – Analyser le public cible et élaborer son profil – Diffuser les messages spécifiques et les moyens/outils pour transmettre les messages au public cible. – Développer le plan de mise en œuvre de la campagne Selon les besoins et la disponibilité. Pour une coordination et des discussions étroites, le volontaire en ligne devra être disponible pour des appels via Skype/Zoom/Microsoft Teams. Les candidatures féminines sont fortement encouragées.
