Background of the Project:
Uganda Society for Disabled Children (USDC) together with Initiative of Social and Economic Rights (ISER), and Civil Society Budget Advocacy Group (CSBAG) are to implement 3-year project (January 2024 – December 2026) called Strengthening Public Accountability and Investment in Education (SPAIE) funded by Education out Loud/Global Partnership for Education. The overall objective is to contribute towards improved public investment, strengthened governance and accountability that fosters equitable learning for all children in Uganda by 2026. The project will be implemented at national and in 3 local governments of Namayingo in Eastern Uganda, Yumbe in Northern Uganda, and Sheema in Western Uganda. The project aims at strengthening citizen and government engagement on equitable public education financing, improve the functionality of social accountability mechanisms and increase usage of citizen generated data on equality and inclusion for marginalized groups to foster equitable learning for all children in Uganda. Its against this background that USDC is advertising the role of project focal person to support the implementing of field activities in Yumbe district.
Job Summary
Under the Leadership of the SPAIE Project coordinator, the District Project Focal Person will coordinate, implement, monitor, report and engage the relevant stakeholders on behalf of the Uganda Society for Disabled Children. The Focal person will also support other implementing partners in the coordination of Activities.
