The candidate should have the following qualifications/experience:
Professional Qualification: Corporate Member of a recognized professional institution such as the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT, UK); Transport Planning Professional (TPP, UK) or similar equivalent;
Level of education in relevant fields: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, Transport Planning, Geography, Traffic Engineering or a related discipline.
General areas of expertise and year working experience: A minimum of 15 years’ experience in public transportation systems, including route planning, scheduling, capacity management, and the principles of transit operations. Key specialisms: Design and planning of transit infrastructure such as BRT, bus stops transit hubs, rail lines etc.
Candidate should have at least 8 years of experience with transport development activities: this includes policy, infrastructure, financing and technology aspect.
Years’ experience as government advisor or in international organisation: 5 Years’ experience working with donor or governmental agencies.
Ability to work in English language: it is mandatory for candidates to be fluent in the English language with excellent analytical and communication skills.
