Tetra Tech’s International Development Services team provides a full range of integrated development services.
In 2007, Tetra Tech acquired the international development services consulting firm, ARD, Inc. (ARD, formerly Associates in Rural Development). ARD had been working in international development since it was formed in 1977, providing water resources and infrastructure, agriculture and economic growth, environment and natural resources, land tenure and property rights, democracy and governance, and knowledge management services to international development customers. As part of a larger organization, ARD was able to draw upon the full-service science and engineering capabilities and financial strength of Tetra Tech. Tetra Tech also acquired rule of law leader DPK Consulting and IP3, a world-class training provider.
Working together with Tetra Tech’s experienced architect-engineering staff, these units continued to build and expand on Tetra Tech’s international development service offerings, performing new work in building design, water resources engineering, and energy. Most recently, Tetra Tech added PRO-telligent in 2011, significantly expanding its security and criminal justice work with the U.S. Department of State (DOS).
Tetra Tech worked in more than 135 countries in 2012. Through our combined divisions, we have more than 35 years of experience providing practical, people-oriented, environmentally responsible solutions for sustainable development. Our clients now include USAID, DOS, the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), among many other international aid groups and local governments.
Using just the Tetra Tech name in the international development services marketplace brings clarity to our brand in the marketplace and enables us to offer the full range of Tetra Tech services to our clients in proposals and marketing materials.
