About the role:
This is a 12 month, new role with unaccompanied terms based in Kalemie, with frequent trips to other locations in Tanganyika and North Kivu. It has a salary of Grade 4 (€45,457 – €50,509).
You will report to the Programme Director and will lead the Programme Quality Team with line management of the M&E Coordinator, FCRM Coordinator and the Information Officer. You will work closely with the Programme Development Coordinator, Area Coordinators, in-country Technical Advisers, Programme Managers and Coordinators, Head Office Technical (including M&E) Advisers and Desk Officer.
Concern Worldwide started working in DRC in 1994. Since that time, we have grown into one of the leading humanitarian organisations operating in DRC with programmes ranging from emergency interventions to longer-term development programming. This role presents an exciting opportunity to support the development of Concern’s existing and new programmes for DRC by ensuring that they are implemented to the highest quality.
In DRC, Concern implements programmes in two provinces: North Kivu and Tanganyika. With funding from BHA, FCDO, ECHO, Irish Aid, Fonds Humanitaire and BMZ, programmes cover a broad range of sectors including Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Livelihoods, Cash, Shelter, Gender and Protection.
Your purpose:
You will ensure high quality programme design and implementation through the continued critical review of M&E systems, ensuring learning is incorporated into ongoing programmes as well as the design of new ones. You will also ensure cross cutting issues including gender and protection, are systematically addressed. You will take a lead on developing information management systems including dashboards to assist in accurate programme monitoring and efficient, responsive programme design. You will be the focal point within the team for all accountability issues, both internally and as part of our programme activities. You will work closely with the Programme Development Coordinator to ensure that logframe design and FCRM are of high quality and that programme design takes into account ongoing quality and demonstrated learnings.
