OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Le ou la titulaire du poste se verraconfier tout ou partie des responsabilites enumerees ci-apres, dont il ou elles’acquittera en fonction des besoins et du programme: Conseiller sur l’elaboration, la mise en œuvre et l’evaluation des strategies et des plans de travail nationaux relatifs au programme national de preparation aux urgences sanitaires et de reglementation sanitaire internationale, en garantissant la conformite avec les strategies CPI a l’echelle de l’organisation de l’OMS Recueillir, evaluer et suivre l’etat du soutien technique et financier a les capacites de base des pays, l’elaboration de plans d’action nationaux et le calcul des couts pour preparer, detecter et monter une reponse rapide et efficace aux urgences de sante publique, combler les lacunes en etroite collaboration avec le siege et le bureau regional concerne. Assurer la documentation des progres et des resultats et l’efficacite, le suivi et l’evaluation des capacites des pays et des plans d’action nationaux lies a la mise en œuvre du RSI (2005). Gerer le travail du RSI lie aux procedures nationales requises, les competences, le partage d’informations et les mecanismes de coordination sont etablis et fonctionnent, en particulier a travers un Point focal national RSI efficace. Lorsque cela est pertinent et en etroite collaboration avec le bureau de pays, soutenir la fourniture des donnees et des informations requises pour tout document lie au RSI a presenter aux organes directeurs de l’OMS, pour le travail et deliberation d’un comite d’urgence du RSI ou d’un comite de revision du RSI ou d’un comite technique du RSI. Superviser la mise en œuvre efficace des systemes nationaux de surveillance et la mise en œuvre des meilleures pratiques conformement aux exigences du RSI (2005). Promouvoir des activites multidisciplinaires et transversales. Representer le bureau de pays lors des reunions officielles, selon les besoins. Effectuer toute autre tache connexe, comme requis par le superviseur fonctionnel

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: Diplome de medecine et diplomeuniversitaire superieur (niveau Master ou superieur) dans un domaine de la sante
Desirable: Formation specialisee en epidemiologie. Formation specialisee en urgence/reponse humanitaire. Diplome d’etudes superieures en sante publique ou dans une discipline liee a la sante publique d’un institut accredite/reconnu

Experience

Essential: Au moins 7 ans d’experienceprofessionnelle internationale et nationale dans la planification, ledeveloppement et dans le domaine de la mise en œuvre de la securite sanitaire, desurgences, de la surveillance, du controle des maladies et/ou des programmes desante publique. Experience pertinente desmecanismes interinstitutionnels utilises pour coordonnerPreparation et reponseinternationales aux urgences sanitaires, y compris celles les plus pertinentespour coordonner la politique de sante et de l’action en cas d’urgencesanitaire. Experience pertinente dans la miseen œuvre du Reglement Sanitaire International (RSI 2005)
Desirable: Experience professionnelle pertinente a l’OMS et dans d’autres agences des Nations Unies Experience de travail dans des organisations non gouvernementales ou humanitaires pertinentes.

Au fur et a mesure lorsque cela est necessaire, soutenir l’evaluation de la performance des transports nationaux, du tourisme et des services de masse 3. REMUNERATION

WHO salaries for staff in the Professional category are calculated in US dollars. The remuneration for the above position comprises an annual base salary starting at USD 77,326 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable), a variable post adjustment, which reflects the cost of living in a particular duty station, and currently amounts to USD 2648 per month for the duty station indicated above. Other benefits include 30 days of annual leave, allowances for dependent family members, home leave, and an education grant for dependent children.
