PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
LEAP-Local aims to strengthen MOH systems and structures through a deliberate, long-term, provision of high-quality senior level infectious disease (ID) and other health technical experts who will help guide, strengthen, and enhance the national infectious disease programs. LEAP-Local aims to build efficient, effective, and self-reliant infectious disease and other health programs at the MOH or national health entity. Inherent in LEAP-Local’s design is capacity building and mentorship where experts embedded at national infectious disease programs will strengthen key aspects of the health portfolios, including improving coordination between disease program stakeholders involved in the country and the host government and improving quality of overall health programming. LEAP-Local will contribute to the following objectives:
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an experience Finance Manager to join the USAID LEAP Local team on a 5 year project ending May 2028. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of program including grant compliance and regulatory reporting to USAID and Genesis’ internal administrative and compliance issues as needed. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for managing a team of Finance Officers based across the different program locations (Johannesburg, Nairobi, Cote d’Ivoire and Abuja) and lead on communications with USAID from a financial and compliance perspective

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong desire for learning, coupled with experience working with USAID and managing project budgets in accordance with grant specifications. Responsibilities include overseeing expenditure monitoring, ensuring compliance with funding regulations, and maintaining alignment with grant requirements
