Lovelace is seeking personnel to work with the Centers for Disease Control in Global Immunization
Division in connection with the following position on a government contract and the requirements outlined below:
Provide technical assistance and support for the delivery of routine immunization services in Africa.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of Routine Immunization in improving the national coverage of children;
Provide timely analysis and interpretation of the routine immunization data and its use for corrective actions.
Provide training in Routine Immunization activities to reduce large number of unvaccinated children. Assist in organizing creative and innovative Routine Immunization activities.
Undertake operational research in order to improve Routine Immunization activities.
Produce reports and relevant documents on innovative Routine Immunization activities.
Support the development of the micro-plans for implementation of the Reach Every District approach. Ensure the proper implementation of routine immunization service delivery through Capacity Building and supportive supervision.
Support the Ministry of Health (MoH) with the Coordination of partners on all the activities related to routine immunization.
Support the MoH to improve and participating in communication activities and ensuring community participation.
Core Hours:This service requires  40hours per week in accordance with core duty hours.

Place of Performance: Â TBD
Domestic Travel:Tasks may at times require local travel between Atlanta, CDC Campuses.
International Travel: Â 2 trips to the continent of Africa for an estimated total of 20 days of TDY.
Minimum Experience:
Bachelor of Science with biology specialty.
Minimum 7 years of experience in public health.
Background in epidemiology and disease knowledge.
Fluent in French.
Minimum of 3 years experience planning and evaluating immunization programs, including campaigns and routine immunization.
Minimum of 2 years experience living in third world countries.
Minimum of 2 years experience working in DR Congo.
Demonstrated comprehensive working knowledge of and experience working in immunization systems and familiarity with the specifics of these systems specifically in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and other African countries.
Minimum of 3 years experience working in complex collaborative environments and with multilateral organizations with partners such as ministries of health, the World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
Teleworking:This service is not eligible for teleworking.
