What is the opportunity?
Working under the direct supervision of the Senior Director, Program Design and Standards, the Carbon Regional Project Manager, East Africa, is responsible for coordinating key Carbon Credit Program Requirements in Water Mission’s East Africa program, using project and program management techniques and excellent written and verbal communications skills. This position will manage scopes of work, schedules, and budgets of a variety of initiatives related to the generation of carbon credits for safe water projects, including the roll-out of new program design elements (WASH Promotion, Stakeholder Inclusivity, Asset Management, etc.), oversee routine baseline and end line surveying, and coordinate and implement necessary staff and stakeholder trainings for program sensitization. The position is based in the CAT or EAT Time Zone and will require routine international travel to remote locations in developing countries. The duration of travel typically lasts 1-3 weeks and occurs 4-6 times per year.
